From 16.05 to 19.05 2012. we hosted a group of teachers from Spain and Finland at our school. This was the last meeting of the Comenius project -School Partnerships launched in September 2010.
The guests arrived to Bydgoszcz on 05/16/2012
17.05.2012r. – The official visit began at the school. After greeting with the head-teacher and teachers, the guests had a chance to watch a puppet show prepared by 4th and 6th graders – “The legend about Lech, Czech and Rus”.
Then, with tears in our eyes we watched a multimedia presentation about the main activities, which were undertaken during the two years of the project.
Then each group presented their homework, which was made by children. It was connected with the Polish legend.
After the coffee break, the guests were shown around the school – they could see the entire building, the sports hall, head-teacher’s office, secretary’s and accountant’s room, and some parts of different lessons.
Then, we saw dancing performances, prepared by dancing team “Echo” and the children from class I b.
The teachers also visited the building, where younger kids (7-9 years old) have their lessons and Kindergarten No 66.
The volleyball match between the Comenius team and the students from the sport class raised a lot of emotion. The result was: 2-1 for teachers.
After dinner we went to Lubostroń, where a lot of surprises were waiting for our guests: theatrical lesson, a concert for cello and piano, visiting the palace, carriage ride through the park, dinner. Everyone was impressed with charming place.

That day we went on a trip to Biskupin and Venice. The guests had the opportunity to learn about our oldest history. They could see some exhibits of old times, and the settlement - Biskupin, which made a great impression on them.
Venice is a place, which brought together the biggest collection of steam locomotives in the open air. All the exhibits were viewed with great interest.
After returning to Bydgoszcz there was a further string of surprises. This time, teachers had the opportunity to see our city from a different perspective. They took part in the “Sunflower” (Słonecznik) boat trip on the river Brda. The good weather, lush greenery and beautiful sun, stressed the beauty of the city.
The evening was favorably ended in the pancake restaurant "Moon".
And then there was the time to say goodbye. It was difficult for all of us to hide our emotions and tears. These two years of work have made us great pleasure and provided us many positive emotions. We are richer in many new experience. It was difficult to say goodbye but we hope to meet again.
